Silver Metal Clay Impressions from Nature - Jan 10th 2026
Silver Metal Clay
Saturday Jan 10th
10-4:30pm
Silver Metal clay is a unique material that is opening up many possibilities for designers and crafters. This course is for those with interest in the material who would like to further their skills and learn how to incorporate enamels in their designs. We will cover the basics along the way but will be focusing on creating a small piece(s) that can be used as earrings, pendant or a charm for jewellery making. You will be able to use impression techniques in silver clay to make surfaces that are then enamelled to produce a finished piece.
Silver clay is a material consisting of 100% recycled fine silver particles and a non-toxic clay body that binds the silver particles. After you have completed your design and it has dried, you will learn how to burn off the clay binder leaving behind beautiful bright shiny fine silver piece. This will then be enamelled and finished.
This material is a wonderful medium to work in and requires no experience to get started. After the course you will have a good understanding of how to use silver clay and enamels together.
