Rachael's rings
When one of your best friends asks you to revamp her rings it is a great pleasure and honour. Of course it took me ages to getting around to it. She was very patient with me I was always on with other commissions it seemed.
These rings were made up from several rings including her original engagement ring, wedding band and partial eternity band. We added a diamond from her mother’s heirloom ring and I sourced a matching ethical diamond to match it to make triple diamond engagement ring. She wanted a modern take on a on a classic design so we worked out what worked best for her in terms of the mount for the three main diamonds. She didn’t want the mounts to touch the wedding band or want them sticking up too far off her fingers. I think the custom built triple mount is a great result, very strong but light enough to let loads of light in under the diamonds. Very chic.
The platinum is mostly fused meaning it is structurally very strong in all its seams. You can see in one shot below where it has been welded. Hand fabricated jewellery is beginning to be rare these days but the advantage is that these will stand the test of time. These rings are intended to be passed down to nieces one-day- so sweet and sentimental.
