Ancient Jewellery obesessed!

Those of you who are in my classes know how fascinated I am with ancient craftspeople and what we have to learn from them. This obsesssion has already fuellled my travels this year to Malta and Germany as I have been researching techniques and how they are used across time and space.

Here you can see some Neolithic necklaces found on Malta alongside other offerings used in burial practices. Further on you can see how metal and precious gems and minerals are utilised in adorment of the Baltic and Saxon tribes.

I am facinated by the details, themes and precision in these precious pieces.
