Bespoke remodel of a beloved cuff
Jane came to me with a gorgeous fine silver cuff that was always on her wrist and had worn to the point of cracking and needed repair. After discussing her options she asked me to remake the a cuff using the original material and adding more sterling to it to make it thicker and more robust. The original cuff had a subtle very worn rollerprinted texture on in and 5 gold plated stripes of varying thicknesses on it. After some experimentation I found the right material to use to gain the texture and used thin gold sheet instead of plating to ensure it will last for many more years than a plating job will. The end result is beautiful, nearly doubled in weight and far more luxurious. She is thrilled with having it back on her wrist in its new incarnation.
