This gorgeous Australian Teal Sapphire and Diamond Platinum ring was commissioned about 6 months ago back in March. When he came to see me initially, he explained he needed to have something totally unique and couldn’t find anything he felt was right for his lover.

So, he asked me to make her a ring that would reflect on their love, connection and future. We talked a lot about her and what she did for a living, how she played in the outdoors and what she cared deeply about. He knew she would want something that was made by a local goldsmith, using materials that were as sustainable as possible and that would stand the test of time.

It took a few months to get the right design and sapphire and natural diamonds to accompany it. He looked at about a dozen sapphires choosing the radiant teal colour that was so much like the water she loves. I went to London to find the right sapphire to match the one he liked as the one I had was just not quite big enough. I did find a gorgeous 0.54ct sapphire that was a perfect hue match and I got started.

This ring is water swirling, arms hugging, hands holding, love protecting, and truly one of a kind. I fell in love with it while making it and I know that a very beautiful woman will be treasuring it daily which makes my heart happy. Let love rule P + L may your future be full of love and laughter
